The church
Take your time and find peace and quiet in the old church at High Chaparral - a 15th century wooden church from the close by village of Kävsjö.Take a look at the beautiful paintings in the ceiling and ride on the wings of the past. Our church is unique, as there are no more wooden churches of this size anymore.
The free-standing clock tower at the entrance has its origin in Karelia. You will not find a single nail in this tower - everything is made of wood. Take note of the gun shutters - they were surely handy for refugees, as the church has always been their last outpost.
