There is a story about an aged Cherokee Indian who tells his grandchild about the battle between good and evil that we all carry inside of us. It’s like two wolves fighting each other, he says. One of the wolves is wrathful and is characterized by jealousy, greed, lies and self-absorption, while the other radiates joy, love, hope and humility. The child asks curiously:
– But who wins?
– The wolf you feed, answers the old man.

At High Chaparral we feed the good wolf as early as possible so that the wicked wolf cannot grow strong. That’s why we focus our commitment on charities that help children and young people.
