To make your stay at High Chaparral as smooth and comfortable as possible, we have gathered everything you need to know in one place. Here you will find practical information about check-in and check-out, accommodation standards, parking, service buildings, barbecue areas and what facilities are available near your accommodation.
Whether you're staying in a cabin, caravan or campsite, our tips will help you plan your stay in the best possible way. Read through the information before you arrive, so you can sit back and focus on your adventures in the Wild West.

Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellation of accommodation can be made with a full refund up to one week before the visit with cancellation protection. Cancellation protection is non-refundable. Cancellation of accommodation can be made with a full refund up to one month before the visit without cancellation protection. If canceled later than this or if you do not show up, nothing of the amount charged will be refunded.
You can reschedule your accommodation to another date within the current season free of charge up to 48 hours beforethe stated check-in time (15:00).
Cancellation insurance costs SEK 299 per accommodation unit.

Check-in and check-out for accommodation in Guldbyn, Vagnsborgen or Storstuga takes place at Big Bengt Reception. Check-in and check-out for your campsite, camping cabin or caravan takes place at the camping reception. Check-in takes place between 15.00-20.00. If you arrive after 20.00, please notify the reception at 0370-827 85. Check-out for all accommodation is at 11.00.
Served at Restaurant Diligensen from 08.00-10.00. Prices: 0-2 years free, 2-5 years SEK 79, 6-15 years SEK 99, 16 years upwards SEK 169.
Breakfast can be pre-booked either in advance, at check-in or on site at Restaurant Diligensen.
All our cottages include cleaning.
Resident parking is available outside each cabin and inside the campsite. Parking is free throughout your stay for our overnight guests.
You enter the registration number of the vehicle you arrived in at check-in at Big Bengt Reception. When you have checked out of your cabin, the vehicle is parked in the large visitor parking lot. If you have a caravan or motorhome, we have special parking for this in the large visitor parking lot.
Tip, for those who are staying overnight but wish to visit the park before check-in, you are always welcome to Big Bengt Reception to register your vehicle for free parking. Please note that this does not apply to the charging points for electric or hybrid cars.
Some pitches at our campsite have European plugs and others have 19V plugs. If you need information about which type of plug is available at your booked pitch, please contact the campsite.
Service building
Toilets and showers are available in our service building located at the campsite entrance. Our central service building, which is adapted for the disabled, has a kitchen (induction stove, microwave and oven), dishwashing room (hand washing stations), toilet and shower room for Cowboys and Cowgirls and family shower/toilet.
Please note that you must bring your own kitchen utensils, pots and pans, as these are not available in the service house.
Laundry room at the campsite
In our central service building there is a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer. Washing time is booked at the campsite reception and the key is also signed out there. Washing time 3 hours. Available between 8.00 and 21.00. Detergent is available for purchase in the Camping Shop.
Bed sets are not included in the accommodation, but are available for rent for SEK 249 / set. You can add this in connection with your booking, or on site when you check in.
In connection with your booking, you can choose to book a travel cot for babies for SEK 199 for the entire stay and then also includes duvet, pillow and bedding. Please note that we only have a limited number of travel cots.
If you stay in one of our cottages in Guldbyn, Vagnsborgen, in Storstuga or Villavagn, free wifi is included. Password is in the information package received at check-in.
Pets are only allowed in our camping cabins, on campsites and in selected Guldby and Storstugor cabins.
There's a camping shop on site with the essentials. Here we also have a small range of products for all cowboys and cowgirls who want to dress up for a day in the Wild West with hats, pickadolls and sheriff stars.
At the campsite you will find our popular restaurant Bryggan which is open even when the park is closed. Right at the entrance you will also find Restaurant Diligensen which is also open after the park has closed.
The pier is open June 19 to August 1 - 2026.
The Confederate flag can symbolize resistance to the abolition of slavery and is often associated with racism. While some view it as a nostalgic symbol of the American South, its meaning is highly problematic and divisive. For this reason, Confederate flags are not permitted at High Chaparral.
