High Chaparral opens on May 22, 2021

On Saturday, May 22 next year, High Chaparral will open its doors for the 2021 summer season. The Wild West park continues to develop the brand Become part of the adventure that paved the way for satisfied visitors this past summer.

The 2020 summer season was marked by COVID-19 and High Chaparral is now preparing for a similar summer with continued restrictions.

To find a sustainable solution for visitors, staff and horses, High Chaparral made a major change this summer when Shows were replaced by interactive activities with the park's many Wild West characters. A change that contributed to High Chaparral yesterday receiving the Grand Tourism Prize 2020 and which the park is now building on.

Focus areas in the planning work for the summer season include further minimizing queuing and at the same time increasing the spread of visitors in the park.

- Ahead of summer 2020, we made it clear that the opportunity to open came with a great responsibility. That our entire operation would follow the prevailing restrictions and laws, and design the necessary measures based on them. We have taken our experiences and the positive response we received from our visitors with us, and are now working to further develop our measures linked to covid-19," says Mathias Bergendahl, CEO of High Chaparral.

In summer 2020, 117,000 visitors visited High Chaparral, 73% of the number of visitors in 2019.

High Chaparral opens on May 22 and closes for the season on September 5. Booking for season and gift passes will open on December 1, 2020 and entrance tickets and accommodation in January 2021. Recruitment of 350 seasonal staff will begin on Friday, November 27.
