If you enjoy meeting new people, are service-oriented and want to represent High Chaparral to our visitors, then you'll fit right in as a shop assistant with us. We have everything from small shops selling sweets to large shops filled with clothes and toys.
We prefer you to have experience in a store and be a good cashier, but the most important thing is your happy personality and that you have a great sense of service. In some stores you will work alone, in others you will be part of a team.
In our vibrant Wild West Park, the Activity Worker plays a crucial role in ensuring that guests have the best possible experience. The role involves greeting each guest with a smile and creating an atmosphere filled with joy and excitement.
As an activity worker, you meet our guests at one of our activity stations around the park, such as gold panning, gas canon, rodeo, wheel steamer, or on our activity island Buffalo island. You instruct and tell a little background story about the activity and make the guest feel part of the adventure. It is a big plus if you have an interest in acting and improvising to succeed as an activity worker.
Some activity stations may involve sales and cashier work.
You know how to deal with guests in a pleasant, cheerful and correct way, and you are quick and efficient in your use of the computer. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, but still manage to make every guest feel seen and cared for. You have a keen eye for detail and are passionate about giving our guests a pleasant and memorable experience.
When you work as a Accommodation Receptionist/Campsite Host, you are part of our Accommodation Team. The working days vary and include both work at the reception and out on the site.
At reception, you will mainly work with checking guests in and out, handling telephone and email reservations, and providing guest information. The reception acts as an information center - both for guests on site and for those who contact us before or after their visit. In addition to the administrative tasks, there are also simpler practical tasks in our cottages, such as helping with simple maintenance when needed - all to ensure that the guest has the best possible stay.
As a Camping Host, you'll spend a lot of time working outdoors on the campsite, welcoming and helping guests find their pitches, keeping the area tidy and informing them about our safety recommendations. As a campsite host, you'll also handle reservations by phone and email, as well as guest information, ensuring that guests always receive prompt and personalized service, no matter where they are.
Common to both roles is a strong focus on service, commitment and a warm welcome.
Meritorious experience is computer and system experience, work with telephone booking and caretaking or simple property maintenance. We consider it a matter of course that you speak English fluently, and preferably also German or Danish.
Working hours vary as the reception is staffed between 08.00-22.00.

Restaurant Diligensen serves breakfast, lunch, staff meals and evening ala carte. Here, your main tasks are to take care of, wash and sort the dishes for all the departments we have at Diligensen. As an important part of our cogwheel, you are responsible for a large part of our cleaning and hygiene at Diligensen. You are responsible for cleaning mainly floor surfaces, but also as a helping hand to the kitchen and tableware. There are about 50 people working at Diligensen during the summer and together with your colleagues at Diligensen and the rest of the park, we all work with the goal of giving our visitors a good dining experience. So if you want to be part of the adventure in a large team with happy colleagues and varied tasks, this is a job for you. Working hours vary as the kitchens are running from early morning with breakfast service until the evening restaurants close.
As a cleaner, you are an important part of the overall experience for our guests. You ensure that all areas are fresh, well-maintained and inviting. You will work either in the accommodation department: cleaning cabins, public areas, service buildings and staff areas, or in the theme park: cleaning public areas, service areas and facilities before/during and after park opening hours.
The position is primarily a horse keeper but feeding of bison, Texas Longhorn and donkeys may occur. The work consists of caring for the horses. An important task is to check that the animals are healthy and prevent diseases. The work may involve driving a tractor. It is therefore an advantage to have a driving license. Animal keepers work some irregular hours. Animals need care even on weekends, evenings and early mornings.
It is a plus if you have horsemanship training and experience working with horses. You are responsible, tidy, thorough, flexible and a good communicator. You work just as well in a group as completely independently and aren't afraid to pitch in where needed, all to ensure we take the best care of our animals.
You know how to treat guests in a pleasant, cheerful and correct way and are quick and efficient in your handling of the cash register / mobile scanner. We take it for granted that you speak English fluently. You should be able to work at a high pace but at the same time make every guest feel well taken care of. You are passionate about giving the guest a pleasant treatment. In the lobby, you work independently but together in the Guest Service team.
This is a varied post, with a change of workstation after the morning rush. All entrance hosts start the day in the entrance and then move on to other workstations. You usually finish your shift in one of our stores.
Therefore, we would like to see that you have experience from the store and are a cashier, but most important is your happy personality and that you have a great sense of service.
Are you passionate about cooking and want to develop as a chef while helping to create really good food? Do you enjoy working in a team and working at a fast pace? Then this might be the job for you. To apply for this position, you must have experience of working in a kitchen and have a basic training as a chef.
We expect you to be flexible, stress-resistant, unpretentious and able to pick up where needed. You can both give and take instructions well and have no problem working from early in the morning until late at night.
Are you on a food or restaurant course and want to develop your career, or are you simply passionate about cooking? Then working as a chef's assistant in one of our kitchens could be for you. We expect you to be a team player, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be able to hit the ground running. You can easily take instructions and are passionate about learning more.
You'll work with a large team of chefs and serving staff, all with the aim of giving our visitors a great dining experience. All work in the kitchens is led by our head chef. Working hours vary depending on the service, as the kitchens are already running from early morning with breakfast service until the evening restaurants close.
Our costume studio dresses everyone in the park in historically accurate clothing. Costume is incredibly important to the Wild West world we want to create for our guests. All costumes are created at High Chaparral by our costumers, which we are proud of.
We are now looking for employees for our costume studio. We are looking for you with post-secondary education in sewing, or previous work experience. Most of the production takes place in the spring, so we would like you to be available then. More specific information about this will be given when you are hired.
We are looking for costumers who are service-oriented, self-driven, can come up with creative solutions and if you have an interest in costume history, it is a big plus!
Around the park we have a number of horses and other animals.
Our Wild West Stunt Show includes a stagecoach with a two-horse team driven by two drivers. Between shows, you can help with the care of the horses in the park and show the stagecoach and driving horses.
We are looking for you who can maneuver at least a two-horse team at high speed and also good horse / animal experience in general.
If you are flexible and not afraid to work hard, you should read this. If you also have a great sense of service, great sense of order, have turned 18 and like to work in a team, then this may be a job for you.
Our central warehouse supplies both the points of sale and the restaurants with goods. The department consists of a team of six to eight people. During the park's opening hours, vehicle traffic is prohibited, so most of the deliveries are made in the early morning and late evening. This means that working hours vary depending on the shift. Driving license and forklift license are a great advantage but not a requirement.
As a Sound Technician you are responsible for all sound in the park. You alternate the day with running the sound during our various Shows and ensure that the environmental sound in the park works as it should. The sound in the park is well thought out and an important factor that contributes to the adventure we create for the guests.
We are looking for you with post-secondary education in sound technology, a broad knowledge of sound in a live context or previous work experience. We would like to see that you have experience in sound at theater performances and experience of handling wireless systems. A big plus if you have knowledge in troubleshooting and repair.
You will work a lot together with the different ensembles so cooperative and solution-oriented are two important qualities we are looking for. You also move around among the guests during the day so we would like you to be service-oriented and have a sense of guest care.
Speed and excitement, a high work pace, collaboration with wonderful colleagues and giving guests a good dining experience. If this is something that appeals to you and if you have previous experience from restaurant work, you may be suitable as a restaurant assistant with us. We have a number of smaller eateries, cafés and ice cream kiosks in the park that do not require as much experience as the kitchen. Here, it is primarily your attitude, willingness to learn and of course that you enjoy working at a high pace that is put to the test.
You are an outgoing and social person who loves meeting people. The City Sheriff helps our visitors find their way, answers questions and helps lost children or parents. All to make your visit as hassle-free as possible.

As a Sheriff, you work independently but are part of the Guest Services team.
At High Chaparral there is an infirmary. The infirmary is open every day the park is open. The infirmary reflects one of our three values "care" so if you are caring and have at least a nursing education, you should definitely apply for this job. You will help both guests and staff of all ages with simple dressing, scrapes, needles and advice. As a nurse, you will work independently but as part of the Guest Services team.
We have an exciting job for you if you have experience as a blacksmith and enjoy showcasing your skills. At High Chaparral , we High Chaparral a smithy where we manufacture period products from mid-17th century America.
You will work freely under responsibility and show your craft to our visitors. You will also make forged items to order for High Chaparral for various purposes in the park.
Billy the kid is a world-famous bandit who is more than happy to take the kids on various pranks. He's joined by Annie Oakley, the Wild West's best sharpshooter, who makes sure everything goes right in the end. Annie and Billy deliver a fun and energetic family show together with Sheriff Thomsson and journalist Harper. In this show, the whole family is included through interactive moments during the performance.
The day is interspersed with performances and improvisation sessions where the characters are out in the park among our guests. If you are part of this ensemble, the improvisation sessions are a big and important part of your work.
That's why we're looking for resourceful actors with excellent improvisational skills. You need to be able to take initiative, stay in character throughout the day and be both responsive and quick-thinking. You will meet thousands of guests during a day so you need to have a good guest service and service mindset.
This is a fast-paced show with lots of laughs. Lucky Luke, known to outrun his own shadow, keeps an eye on the Dalton family who are always up to mischief. Bank robberies are a daily occurrence for the Dalton brothers and mom, and the plans to outsmart Lucky Luke never seem to end.
The day is interspersed with performances, line dancing, music lessons and improvisational theater in the park.
For the Lucky Luke ensemble we are looking for both male and female actors for Lucky Luke, the brothers and mom Dalton. You need to have very good improvisational skills as the characters are out in the park between performances and meet the guests. It is good if you have experience in physical theater, like to work with a lot of body language / facial expressions and that you thrive with a fast pace. Experience with singing and musical instruments is an advantage.
We need to know your height, as the Dalton brothers (Joe, William, Jack and Averell) must be different heights.
High Chaparral is known for its breathtaking stunts in our Wild West Stunt Show. The show includes everything from stunts, riders, horses, falls from great heights, fights and more. All to convey an experience of what a day in the Wild West could have looked like.
The day includes the shows "Wild West Stunt Show" and "Chasing Cattle", in addition to being out in the park for improvisational theater.
We are looking for strong men and women of different ages for Wild West Stuntshow. We are looking for actors, riders and stunt performers. We are looking for experienced stunt performers with fall techniques of various kinds and a great safety mindset as we have higher falls at 6-12 meters height. You should be able to sell a fight from a historical perspective and be able to take a hit in a safe and spectacular way in a classic wild west shootout. Improvisation skills are also required as the character is played all day, even out in the park between performances.

A traveling circus wagon with four sisters. The sisters offer singing, dancing and circus acts at various locations in the park throughout the day and also a circus school where children can learn to juggle, for example. Joy and community are the hallmarks of this show. You are your character all day, performing and improvising with the audience. Spontaneous moments of dance and play are part of the work.
The wagon is moved around during the day and has 6 shows, the shows are about 15 minutes long.
For our circus wagon we are looking for expressive artists who sing, act, dance and do circus acts. We are looking for you who are a trained musical artist or circus artist.
As a musical theater performer, you need to have good solo and vocal skills, as well as dance and acting skills. It is an advantage if you have some kind of acrobatic or circus background.
As a circus artist, we are looking for you who work with acrobatics or circus of various kinds. Other experiences are a strong merit such as being able to both sing and dance.
We are looking for you who have a broad knowledge or are open to learning new skills. We want to be surprised by odd and useful skills, we build the show after you so we are curious about what you can do!
Zorro - the people's avenger and hero fights against Spanish rule in Mexico and here at the High Chaparral it's against the evil Capitan and his companions. Dramatic scenes between Zorro, Sẽnorita Espada and the soldiers fencing on the rooftops make this an exciting show between the 'good and evil'.
During the day there will be performances, improvisation in the park and also a fencing school where the children get to fence with Zorro. If you are part of this ensemble, you are also part of Child West Show and perform both shows during the day.
For this show we are looking for physical actors with a sense of comic timing. Fencing skills are a great merit. Fencing and the scenes will mostly take place on roofs so we are looking for actors who are not afraid of heights. Good improvisational skills are required as you will be expected to interact in character with park visitors during the day.
This is a cozy family show aimed at the smaller children, the target group is 1-8 years. It is a calmer pace without loud bangs and violence. In the show, the children get to meet our ''Texas Trio'' consisting of the characters Huck, Tom and Beck. They are playful children who love adventure and imagination.
The day is interspersed with performances and improvisation in the park. If you are part of this ensemble, you are also part of the Zorro Show and perform both shows during the day.
We are looking for actors with a lot of energy and good improvisation skills. If you have experience of children's theater, it is an advantage. Since you will also participate in the Zorro show, we are looking for you who are not afraid of heights as fencing and the scenes will mostly take place on the roof.
A steam train passing through lawless country is never safe. Out in Buffalo Springs, train robbers are on the loose and it's the job of the train guards to try to protect the passengers, the train, and the cash shipment. Here, we want to create an experience where guests are at the center of the adventure. The actors work closely with the guests and include them in the performance throughout the journey.
During a day, the train can run up to 30 times and you are in your character from opening to closing. The train robbery is not scripted, but works freely but sticks to a common thread. This service includes many varied elements. As an employee of Tågrånet, you will work some days as a train guard, others as a train robber and sometimes as a substitute. More about this when you are hired.
We are looking for actors with very good improvisation skills as that is the main task. You need to be responsive, quick-thinking and able to read your surroundings. In addition, safety-conscious, service-oriented and cooperative qualities are what we are looking for.
