Success for Halloween and Christmas table at High Chaparral
Opening up a theme park in November for Halloween is a risk. Will there be any visitors or will it just be a park with hired zombies? The risk turned out not to be very high.
- "There were a lot of visitors and we are very pleased with the initiative. The number of visitors is around 3,500," says High Chaparral's CEO Lotta Edin Johansson.
A deserted Wild West town is, of course, the perfect setting for the undead, zombies and other nasties. In addition, the "Run for your lives" zombie race was organized for the second year running, attracting over 600 runners.
The Christmas tables at High Chaparral are also very popular. If the competition from other theme parks is great around Halloween, the competition from all of Småland's inns and conference facilities is extra high at Christmas.
- Our Christmas tables were fully booked several weeks ago. We have a unique environment that no one else can offer. It's really nice that High Chaparral attracts people even during the fall and winter," concludes Lotta Edin Johansson.
