High Chaparral is cashless
Sure, you can rob the bank, but when you shop, play or eat with us, you do it with a card. At High Chaparral , the entire park is cashless. Welcome to the Wild West.
From this season onwards, High Chaparral will be a cashless park. All payments can be made with the most common bank and credit cards (VISA and Mastercard) or you can buy or load a gift card at the entrance or online. With a gift card or our special High Chaparral card, for example, foreign guests can reduce their withdrawal fees charged by the banks and the children can get their own cards to run and shop for themselves.
With a cashless park, we create increased security for both guests and staff, reduce queues and also reduce all transportation of cash to and from the park, which contributes to a better environment.
For those without a VISA or Mastercard
One of our entrance cash registers will accept cash and there the guest easily pays both admission and adds the desired amount on High Chaparral's own payment card. This card can then be used for purchases in the park. The card can be topped up with more money during the day and when the visit to the park is over, the visitor can get the remaining card balance back at the entrance cashier. With the payment card, children can shop themselves inside the park and those who only want to use cash can also easily visit the park.
Of course you can rob the bank

Success for Halloween and Christmas table at High Chaparral
Opening up a theme park in November for Halloween is a risk. Will there be any visitors or will it just be a park with hired zombies? The risk turned out not to be very high.
- "There were a lot of visitors and we are very pleased with the initiative. The number of visitors is around 3,500," says High Chaparral's CEO Lotta Edin Johansson.
A deserted Wild West town is, of course, the perfect setting for the undead, zombies and other nasties. In addition, the "Run for your lives" zombie race was organized for the second year running, attracting over 600 runners.
The Christmas tables at High Chaparral are also very popular. If the competition from other theme parks is great around Halloween, the competition from all of Småland's inns and conference facilities is extra high at Christmas.
- Our Christmas tables were fully booked several weeks ago. We have a unique environment that no one else can offer. It's really nice that High Chaparral attracts people even during the fall and winter," concludes Lotta Edin Johansson.
With Halloween, High Chaparral continues its focus on year-round activities
- We will have parts of the park open during Halloween and, just like last year, organize the zombie race "Run for your lives". Then we have a Christmas table with Rydell & Quick as artists, increased conference activities and soon also a new museum. High Chaparral will position itself as a tourist destination and meeting provider all year round.
Lotta Edin Johansson, CEO of High Chaparral, talks about the theme park's intention to be a local and national attraction 12 months a year.
- Many people think that High Chaparral only operates during the summer. Of course, it is our most important period, but the activities and events during the other months are increasing.
Last year's successful Halloween in the park and the zombie race "Run for your lives" will of course be continued this year. This year they hope for many visitors to the park and at least 1000 runners with nerves of steel.
- For the adults it will be both a tough and scary course, but of course we have a slightly scary variant for the little ones. If you like Halloween, a Wild West town full of zombies could hardly be better," concludes Lotta Edin Johansson.
