Tourist Destination of the Year
Yeehaaw.we have won Tourist Destination of the Year for the second year in a row.
The motivation is "You have a high level of world-class service and satisfied customers and because you stand out from the crowd in a positive and driving way".

New characters for the Nordic region's best theme park, High Chaparral
Lucky Luke, the Dalton Brothers and Zorro are now joining the Wild West park High Chaparral in Småland. This summer, 170,000 visitors will meet Annie Oakley and Billy the Kid.
- Annie Oakley has been around before, but now she will have a more prominent role in the park. "Just like in other historiography, there are few women in the history of the Wild West, so we think it's important to highlight those who exist. Bill the Kid, on the other hand, is a new character in the park," says Lotta Edin-Johansson, CEO of High Chaparral.
Last year, High Chaparral was voted Best Theme Park in the Nordic region by the website Barnsemester.se, with Astrid Lindgren's World in second place and Legoland in third. Lotta Edin-Johansson believes that one of the reasons why so many families with children voted for them is the combination of entertainment, activities and history.
- For children, High Chaparral is one big adventure with Shows, games and other antics. With us, children become co-creators of everything that happens. They also learn a lot through our activities. Like what it was like to be a settler, to pan for gold and how to live in the Wild West. We want those who visit us to have learned something when they leave.
Lucky Luke gets its own arena at High Chaparral
- The children love Lucky Luke and the Dalton brothers, so now they will have their own arena surrounded by a small town.
The arena will host shows twice a day during the high season," says High Chaparral's CEO Lotta Edin-Johansson.
The High Chaparral theme park, which last year was named Best Theme Park in the Nordics by becoming the favorite destination for families with children. One of the investments is the Lucky Luke arena.
- Around the arena are the houses that are part of the show - bank, hotel, sheriff's office and of course a prison for the Dalton brothers.
But it's not just an arena for Shows. Lotta Edin-Johansson says that when there are no Shows , the children can play in the area and in the houses.
- For us, it is very important that High Chaparral offers both professional Shows and organized activities as well as space for the children's own antics and games. This is something that I think sets us apart from many other parks and tourist destinations. We take children's need to play seriously. High Chaparral is an experience for all the senses.
Are you the coolest restaurant manager in Sweden?
If you're going to run restaurants and cafés for hungry families with children, take care of gourmet conference guests and make sure the roof doesn't lift too high when Rydell & Quick get going for the Christmas dinner, you need to have an icy stomach, a confident personality and a great attitude to life. And you'll be doing it in Sweden's wildest theme park - High Chaparral, the Wild West in the middle of Småland.
Food is an important part of the experience for our 170,000+ visitors. The park has 13 food and coffee places. When the park is closed for the season, lunch is served at Restaurant Diligensen Monday to Friday. We also serve Christmas dinner and are open for Halloween. High Chaparral also hosts conferences and events all year round with anything from 15-2000 guests.
Your duties include responsibility for purchasing, managing around 70 employees (high season), structure, organization and restaurant finances. You will plan the menus with our chef. Therefore, you have a basic adequate education (preferably post-secondary) and at least 3-5 years of experience in a leading professional role. Requirements are previous experience from a supervisory position with scheduling and purchasing, driving license B and Swedish and English in speech and writing.
As a person, you are a structured and inspiring leader who dares to take a step forward when necessary. You are also flexible and unpretentious. And calm.
The position is a permanent position with the usual probationary period and access by agreement. Interviews take place continuously.
