In Old Mexico , there will be several short performances during the day with the hero Zorro, Elena and the tax collecting soldiers, followed by the popular fencing school. The Settlers' Show will be back again next year, but with a new approach where all the children are involved in the performance.

High Chaparral also High Chaparral elements from the two summers during which the theme park has had to adjust its offerings in line with restrictions and recommendations. In a pre-show before each stunt show, all children become part of the adventure together with High Chaparral Annie and Billy the Kid, and in a brand new feature inspired by the improvisational theater High Chaparral during the pandemic, all children (and adults, of course) get to be part of all the action in the western arena. In addition Shows the Shows the audience will be able to take part in a real western adventure a couple of times a day, where the children join in the hunt for the villains of the Wild West who have come to the otherwise peaceful Wild West town River City.

New for next year, a group of musical artists will perform musical interludes around the park, and each day actors and characters will improvise what a day in a Wild West town might look like.

- "After two summers marked by the pandemic, it is of course enormously exciting to once again be able to show our world-unique Shows with lots of action and excitement. We are also taking valuable insights from the pandemic into the development of new elements in the park and at our shows," says Mathias Bergendahl, CEO.

Further development based on lessons learned from the pandemic: High Chaparral retains advance booking and daily visitor limit

High Chaparral will retain advance booking in order to limit the number of visitors to the park. This measure is taken to improve the customer experience by reducing the risk of queuing and congestion. High Chaparral will open for the next season on May 26, 2022.

For the 2022 summer season, High Chaparral is taking a holistic approach to further reduce the risk of queues and congestion in shops and eateries, at the show arena and during activities in the park.

In 2020, during the first year of the pandemic, High Chaparral put in place a voluntary limit to counter the risk of crowding. This year, a limit was initially set by the pandemic law and a restriction ordinance, but despite the relaxations made on July 15 when the 1 per 20 sqm restriction was removed, High Chaparral chose to keep a voluntary limit. A limit that now remains in place.

- The pandemic has helped us in many ways to develop our activities to ensure that visitors have the best possible experience. Continuing with pre-sales and visitor limits helps us reduce the risk of queuing and congestion in the park, says Mathias Bergendahl, CEO of High Chaparral.

Season ticket holders and Citizens, as before, do not need to pre-book their visit.

Events that are canceled are Western weekend with horse races and Rendez-vous, Civil war, Halloween and Christmas dinner.

High Chaparral gears up: Wild West show and train robbery back at the Wild West park in Småland

On June 5, High Chaparral opens the doors to Sheriff Wyatt Earp's Last Hunt, a newly produced Wild West show, and the steam locomotive once again takes passengers on a journey with Sweden's only legal train robbery.

The Wild West show Sheriff Wyatt Earp's Last Hunt will be performed five times daily to a maximum audience of 500 in designated seats under modified restrictions and with separate entrances and exits to the expanded grandstand. In other theater areas, improv theater continues with Lucky Luke and the Dalton Family in Dalton City and Zorro in Old Mexico. Starting Saturday, the steam locomotive will depart continuously throughout the day with train robberies along the way.

- "We have been clear about our ambition to step up when the opportunity arises, and now we are there. The new restrictions introduced today enable us to continue to offer an exciting Wild West show in a responsible way and once again take passengers on our steam locomotive," says Mathias Bergendahl, CEO.

Adaptations for the summer season 2021 PM

Big move for the season: High Chaparral grows with new area and Wild West icon Texas Longhorn

This summer, the Wild West park High Chaparral opens the gates to Texas, a brand new area with three Texas Longhorns that will soon graze in a newly built enclosure. High Chaparral will then be the only operator in Sweden with the Texas Longhorn cattle breed.

When High Chaparral opens on May 22, it will be with an even bigger park and even more Wild West.

- The investment with Texas Longhorn in a completely new area and several new activities with a focus on learning is fully in line with our ambition to further develop our Wild West theme," says Mathias Bergendahl, CEO.

The 2020 summer season was marked by COVID-19 and High Chaparral is now preparing for a similar summer with continued restrictions.

- We realized early on that the summer of 2021 would be similar to 2020 and we have therefore developed several solutions since September to reduce the risk of congestion and increase the spread of visitors in the park. In addition to the new Texas area, we have created an additional entrance to the park, digital food ordering for take away and three new picnic areas. Also new this year, visitors can order Wild West gear in advance for pickup in the park. We have also created a brand new 1,000 square meter shop solution in our warehouse, with separate entrance and exit, as well as an outdoor queuing system in a 2,500 square meter square," says Mathias Bergendahl.

The Texas Longhorn is a unique and characteristic breed of cattle of the American Wild West. The breed became popular in the 1870s when cowboys moved them across the Great Plains of North America. The Texas Longhorn is particularly known for its long horns, which can be over three meters long from tip to tip.

On Saturday, May 22, High Chaparral will open its doors for the 2021 summer season. High Chaparral's three new Texas Longhorns are expected to be released into the enclosure on May 18.
